Yashi Named to NJBIZ 50 Fastest Growing Companies in New Jersey

Yashi is excited to officially announce that we’ve been ranked #44 on the 2012 NJBIZ 50 fastest-growing private companies in the New Jersey.  NJBIZ and the program sponsors honored Yashi and this year’s 50 fastest growing companies in New Jersey during an awards dinner and ceremony on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, New Jersey, where co-founders, Jay Gould and Caitlin Gould, accepted the award on behalf of Yashi.

“We are very honored to be named among the top 50 fastest growing companies in New Jersey.  We’re particularly thrilled since unlike other awards where popularity may play a role, this award is based purely on revenue growth, which is the direct result of our team’s effort over the last four years. Over the past five years we have experienced exponential growth and we anticipate that, with the help of our experienced staff and management, we will continue our growth in the future,” said Jay Gould, CEO & co-founder of Yashi.

The NJBIZ 50 Fastest Growing Companies awards program celebrates New Jersey’s most dynamic companies who progressively contribute to the success of the state’s economic growth and stability.  To qualify, companies had to meet selection criteria that included a revenue size of at least $500,000 within the past three out of four years and growth in revenue over a four-year period, dating from fiscal year 2008 to 2011.

Presenting sponsor ParenteBeard calculated the nominations and then ranked the companies according to revenue growth over the four-year period. Both dollar and percentage increases were taken into consideration.

Methodology
The 2012 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2008 to 2011. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2008. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2011. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2008 is $100,000; the minimum for 2011 is $2 million.
